When and How We Update Your Shipment Status

Does the Finnrick system update when your shipment is delivered?

Yes, but it will take a business day or two.

We send out a notice when your sample has been processed at our Austin, Texas facility. This happens on business days, typically the day after your shipment is marked as delivered by the carrier. When we receive a large number of samples, it can be further delayed by a day or two.

For example, if USPS is reporting having delivered on Saturday, we expect the team to pick up your shipment on Monday, and process it either the same or next day.

Processing steps

When it arrives at the Finnrick processing facility:

  • your shipment is opened

  • the package and its contents are photographed

  • the samples anonymized (labels are removed) and re-labeled with Finnrick labels

  • then you'll receive an email notification.

After that, the samples are batched and sent to a lab for analysis. This can happen on the same day or after a further couple of days depending on operational constraints.
